Car Fixes You Can Do Yourself

Getting your car fixes can be incredibly expensive, even for small things like a brake light or changing wind shield wipers. Although there are some things you likely can’t do on your own, there are several small fixes that you can do. Fixes that will cost you a max of $20 and 30 minutes of your time. Fixes like:

  • Refill the fluids in your car like oil
  • Refill power steering
  • Refill brake fluid
  • Refill coolant
  • Replace your windshield wipers
  • Replace blinker bulbs
  • Replace headlights
  • Replace brake lights

These fixes are easy, simple, cost effective and give you a sense of empowerment. But how do you do all this? While I would love to make a post for every fix done on every car, I’m afraid I only have a Honda CRV and for 99% of you, that specific information won’t be helpful. So I suggest you look it up on YouTube. Search for something like “changing brake lights on Ford Focus” or “refilling oil in Toyota Camry.” Before you do anything, though, watch 2-3 videos just to make sure the process is standard and you didn’t happen to stumble across some rando and his wacky fixes.
